Beth and Jacob were born on May 13th, 2007, the day I wrote the first scene ever. 

Since I became published in 2011, May 13th has been a day to offer perks and BTS details to faithful readers of this love story. Some of you have been here since the very beginning.

Back on the 10th anniversary, I wrote:

Beth and Jacob were born on May 13th, 2007, the day I wrote the first scene ever. The story went through a lot of changes once I had a first draft in March of 2009.

It took another two years of work before I introduced them to the world.

Did you ever guess what the first scene was?

Beth's dream while in the coma. The story started with that idea, the dream of an alternate reality.

May 13th was always a special day in my life. My grandfather was born 5/13/13.

Completed was published May 13, 2016.

If you see the new series title at a store - Jacob and Beth's Rockstar Life - those are second editions. 

If you're reading through MOaFLR books, picking up a Second Edition will not line up with your Original Edition product, and here's why:

8 years after Kissed was published, I've refreshed the series. The books still have the same series story, but Beth and Jacob's POVs have been changed to 1st person to match West Coast Soulmates. That change divides each book into more chapters, with one POV per chapter.

The placement of scenes has also been altered starting with Betrayed - chapters from Forgiven were moved to Betrayed, chapters from Loved moved to Forgiven, and chapters from Completed moved to Loved. We believe the edits will make for a more compelling series read for new readers.

As of December 3rd, 2021, Completed's revision is still in progress, so it is off sale, along with the series set, until the new edition is finished.

Not happening around you because I don’t need any masks. Don’t you like the honesty between us?”

I pulled my hand back.  “Are you this persistent with all women who reject you?”

He grinned.  “You’re the only one.”

“Who you keep chasing?”

“To reject me.”

I frowned.  “So it is an ego thing. Your interest is that you hate to lose.”

“You’re funny. No, Michaela Simon, you’re the only woman who likes me and hasn’t wanted to admit it. The only woman who gave off sparks on day one. The only one to make me cry when you sang. The only girl to bust my balls at any opportunity. And definitely the best sex I’ve ever had. I’m persistent because you’re one of a kind and I’d be a fool to let you walk away without exploring us as far as I can.”

Oh.  We’d waded into serious territory again and I felt a little breathless. 

His eyes dilated with desire, he pulled me over to seat me on his leg and kissed me, fingers burrowing into my hair.  I moaned and wrapped my arms around him.  He tasted savory, salty, and sweet, and I forgot where we were until someone passing loudly cleared their throat.
